Schleusingen
The exceptional challenge in the rebuilding of the church organ in Schleusingen was the fact that the condition of the original instrument was so bad that a restauration was not the best solution. The original tonal qualities of the organ had, however, to be preserved as far as possible with all the historically valuable registers of the original construction and the sound concept as it was conceived had to be taken into account. We succeeded in Schleusingen in recreating the sound of the late southern German Baroque organ and in taking it a step further, bringing the musical quality of the instrument back to the church in the best possible manner.
